Craig Brown - Craig Brown Design
Craig Brown has been an award-winning art director and graphic designer for over 20 years. Much of that time was spend designing magazines for such companies as Thomas Publishing and VNU Business Media. He has also developed math and reading textbooks and workbooks for Pearson Education, Triumph Learning, and Comprehension Publishing. Most recently Craig was a senior art director for Reader’s Digest/Weekly Reader and was responsible for the design of Current Health and Current Events. He now runs his own design firm, Craig Brown Design where he creates promotional materials for arts organizations such as the OSPAC Jazz Festival, and event announcements for the City of West Orange. In another life, Craig also worked as a display designer for a Haute Couture clothing store in Soho in New York City, and built parade floats for the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. He has also been a set designer for a number of theater, film and video projects including a production of the musical Hair. Craig has exhibited his artwork at the Gowanus Print Lab, The Society of Illustrators and the Lawrence Ward Gallery, among others and was a co-founding member of the Points of Departure Gallery; an artists collective in the East Village. He is also the current Vice President of the New York Chapter of the Graphic Artists Guild.
